SCALE THE SUMMIT: New Song Posted Online, First 'Making-Of' Clip Available

December 8, 2008

SCALE THE SUMMIT, the Houston-based progressive metal band, will unveil its Prosthetic Records debut, "Carving Desert Canyons", on February 17. A track from the CD, "Sargasso Sea", is available for streaming on the group's MySpace page.

"'Sargasso Sea' is one of our personal favorites off the new album," explained eight-string guitarist Chris Letchford. "We're excited to be able to share new music with our fans, it's been over two years since we had new songs to post."

The industrious instrumental quartet filmed the recording of "Carving Desert Canyons" and will be sharing four "making-of" clips leading up to release date. The first clip can be viewed below. The CD was recorded this past summer at New Jersey's Nut House Recording Studio.

"Carving Desert Caravans" is the follow-up to SCALE THE SUMMIT's self-financed full-length debut, "Monument", which received critical praise upon its release in 2007.
